Jess was born and raised in York, Pennsylvania. Her journey making jewelry began in 2002 when she went to school at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, Massachusetts. With a strong love for creating and crafting with her hands, a love for fine detail, and a huge fascination with rocks and minerals, jewelry seemed like a great fit for Jess. When she finished school, Jess found a bench jeweler position in her hometown. She worked there for over 15 years, repairing jewelry, creating custom pieces, and helping on the sales floor. Making sure her customers have an exceptional experience was and always is very important to her.

In June of 2018, Jess's family relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina for her husband's job. This created the opportunity to start j.harrison jewelry studio, and Jess couldn't be more excited!

Jess and her family love the outdoors, traveling, and exploring. Many of her pieces are inspired by nature's beauty.
